Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan

Hi all

For those who don’t know, Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan has been licensed (now it has an official translation in English) and to avoid any issues, I decided to delete all the content and I won’t continue translating the series.

I’ll be looking for another series to translate, my main focus is harem/action series. Do you want to submit one? Go to my discord and suggest one following what’s required there.

  1. Great, so now we just have to wait 5 or so years for the official translation to catch up to where we left off.
    Still, better getting licensed than DMCA’d altogether (like DxD).

    Any chance of taking up “Shinmai Maou no Keiyakusha”? Last I checked, the guy who took it over did one single chapter and I’ve been dying to see what happens after the anime.

    Or perhaps “Absolute Duo”? That hasn’t been touched in a long time.

    1. Shinmai is already being translated by a team though I think they only release chapters for their subscribers (pay wall) and a volume to public once it’s completed.

      About Absolute Duo, that series is on permanent hiatus (I believe 3 years by now) and no news if it will be resumed :c and I don’t translate series on hiatus unfortunately.

      1. In regards to Absolute Duo, according to what I had heard, it seems that its 12th volume will be released on 3/25/2020. The source for this news is the series 12th volume’s Amazon page which I provided a link below. Therefore, it would be great if you choose to translate the series because it is an excellent light novel and one of the best in its genre.

        Otherwise, perhaps you can consider translating Machine Doll Wa Kizutsukanai? It is also a great light novel as well so you might want to consider translating it.

  6. Thank you for your translation of Rakudai for as long as it lasted. It managed to progress to the series beyond what most have already read.
    My only regret is that it was Sol Press, and with their small team ansc schedule, I feel it will be 2027 before we reach the same chapters (the cynic that I am).
    But though this series ends as a translation, thank you for your continued work of Hundred (nearly there!!) and World Break (which I am really beginning to love now that it is past the anime.”

    Can you give this one a shot bro…..it is completed with 5 volumes of which 3 were translated before the translator dissappeared….I very much wanted to know the ending as I liked it very much….I would be grateful if you think of this novel as its right up to your liking….thanks

    1. Oh right, there was Kuusen Madoushi (though the anime felt pretty bad, I was told the ln isn’t that at all). Machine doll is highly requested, but I knew something that really killed off my enthusiasm :cc

    1. That’s true, I said that. I’m still figuring out if I should go with it, the series isn’t that long and while the fact it has a decent number of girls, lewd stuff and action, I like long series. But it’s not discarded at all.

  12. If you Are interested few day ago was released new cool Ln named Maou Gakuen rebel. Its looks kinda cool and Its focused on action harem echie magic And romance. I think that could be good idea. Its your choice of course, I am fine with whatever you starts translate.

  14. I fell very sorry what happen to you. You spent numerous hours to transleting that only for some no named @#@@#@##@ to made something what force you to delete that. I am so sorry for you. But thank you for other translation And I wish you as much luck as exist in the world to that ( to Real life too of course) as well as hoping that you will able to post that one day again.

    1. I somewhat expected that this would happen but not so soon to be honest. Not the same year I picked it up for sure. Anyways, I still enjoyed translating it even though I suffered a bit with its super long chapters xD
      Now to look for another series to complement Seiken

    2. What an entitled opinion from what’s probably a leecher on the Internet. No one has forced Taekan to translate this, and you could even say they have gotten remuneration for them doing it. You are probably just salty because you can’t read it for free anymore. But oh well, you are just going to pirate it anyway so there’s nothing gained or lost for the publisher.

I think I probably know what killed your enthusiasm but I think it’s difficoult to find a translator for a so old series šŸ˜€ New translators only want new series and nobody pick abandoned ones. So for this reason…I suggest Unbrakable machine doll, i suggest Madan no ou to vanadis too (only 4 volumes left but I don’t know if setsuna86 it’s working on it or not…only a part of a volume in an year it’s proving my patience šŸ˜€ ).

    2. Madan would be nice to see finished. Don’t wanna say anything negative about setsuna because of all the translations that did get done for a while there (and no, not accusing of saying anything wrong). But definitely feelin ya about the current wait time. The suggestion above for Asobi Ni is good too.
      Anyway, if I was gonna suggest a title it would probably be Kenshin no Keishousha. It’s complete with 12 volumes, but translator quit after vol 2 and it hasn’t been touched in 4 years. It’s haremy, got action with some comedy…not sure I’d say lewd, but ecchi. Gotta laugh at what gets these girls heated up and how they show it.

      Nnnn…if I was really gonna hope for a series to show up somewhere (and no, no wayyy do I think it could be here) it would be Papa no Iu Koto o Kikinasai! (Listen To Me, Girls. I am Your Father!). Complete with 18 volumes, but we got 3 (incomplete at that) before it was dumped and then DMCA’d a couple years later (UUGGHHAAAAH!!) Doubt anyone will even try to touch it nowadays.

      Ahh well, I said my piece, gave my little rant, so time to quit boring everyone hehe. Major mondo thanks for all you’ve given us Taekan, and all that you’ll still be giving us in the future

  17. I can not believe that now rakudai kishi is licensed, the truth makes me very sad this news, because until they reach volume 12 they will surely take time and I also have to pay to be able to read the translation. But it was good to have read your translations of rakudai. a big hug.

  19. is it required to be harem + action? or can I request just harem – action? XD

    I really want oreshura to be translated. it’s a really old and completed LN and it’s very fun. the anime is lit too. however it seems baka tsuki forgot about it since the last TL was april 2015

  20. would certainly love to be able to follow Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai’s novel. The story strikes me as very interesting, even though the anime didn’t make the best of adaptations.

  21. First of all, thanks for all the hard work translating Rakudai. It wasn’t for long but it was great reading your translation of it. Will still be around for Seiken and the last few chapter of Hundred and seeing what new series you bring to the table

    Sad this translation will stop, although is better knowing that it was licensed instead of DMCA
    I always prefer fan translations because they don’t fully convert the work to another language.
    those little things like using suffix (chan, kun, san, sama, etc) or how they end their phrases (su, gozaru, nano, desu, etc) that help visualize who is talking and showing a bit of their personality and relationship with other when speaking are erased in most official translations.
    It’s also a sad thing for all the work the fan translators did disappears like it was never done

    Now to wait for the official ones to catch up and continue Rakudai series!

  22. i’ll throw my Bid in for the rest of Madan no Ou to Vanadis. Setsuna86 seems to have halted completely on it and i would very much like to see the rest of it finished.

  23. Can I suggest Unlimited Fafnir. There haven’t been any translations on that in over a year. Plus there are only three volumes left so it can be a quick translation then on to another series.

  25. i would suggest aesthetica of a rogue hero. that has been dropped for quite some time, and some in between volumes are missing. great series. i am allmost blind and read with screen reader, and discord is allmost completely incompetable with my screenreader . so i am making my suggestion here.

  27. Sol Press has gone under–will you resume translation of this LN? No one else will, it seems, and there’s only machine translations going around.
