  1. Hi Taekan! Thank you SOOOO much for picking up Rakudai. It is probably my absolute favorite LN. I started reading it when my wife was in the hospital for 8 months, and it helped keep my mind off all the stressful things that were going on so I got really attached to it. I was really sad when translation stopped on it and am SO glad to see you picking it up.

  3. Taekan, i can not say how happy i am to see that you picked up Rakudai. It’s community pretty much died after frozen-sama took a break from translation last year but I hope that we can get this as popular all over again. Frankly I was internally squealing when I saw the announcement on reddit and came here ASAP. You have made my day.

    P.s. frozen-samas translation of volume 9 was left incomplete so another TL did has been uploaded to Jasonwanderblog. I was hoping you could put that link up instead.

    1. Hi!

      I’m aware of that link, but that blog contains only fragments of 2 chapters (from what people have told me).
      So that may create confusion among new readers.

      I’ve also been told that Frozen has made progress with the chapters, so they might be released soon (though it’s better to confirm it directly with him).

    yes i think the Chapter 9 should be released “soon”.

    The percantage were stuck at 60%, but this month it got to 90% and now to 95. You can see the Progress on his Website.

    So i think it should be released soon and it seems there is progress:

    From the Website:

    V9 Chapter 1 – Done

    V9 Chapter 2 – 95%

  5. I am presently reading the first volumes at Baka-Tsuki.org and enjoying it. It is really similar to “Asterisk War” because it is based on student combats, and the main female characters are very alike, even in style. But I did find the anime version of “Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan” known as “Chivalry of a Failed Knight” on YouTube, so I am now enjoying the full version of the LN. It is excellent and even funniier than the LN!

  6. Una pregunta. Dice que el capítulo tres empezará a traducirlo cuando el capítulo 2 volumen 4 de Seiken esté listo. He mirado esa novela y la fecha de traducción pone diciembre de este año, es así? O sólo es una fecha al azar?

    PD: MIL GRACIAS por todo lo que estás haciendo. Cuando puedo traduzco esta novela al español y se lo engorroso que puede ser a veces ;P

  17. Thank you very much for you efforts hats off🎩🎩. You know I was sooooooo depressed not having to read 9th volumn and waiting for 10th translation to come out but when frozensama looked like he’ll never translate I was so heartbroken I stopped reading Japanese light novels as a whole even though there are regular translation to once like “irregular at magic high school”,I loved “Chivalry of the failed Knight” the most. I’m greatful for giving me a glimmer of hope again . Thank for making me a happy person again. Even though your translation are not the same as previous translators and follows a new unique style, I enjoy it non the less so keep up the good work and I wish you success from the bottom of my heart.

    1. I’m happy to know that I’m making people having fun and get a glimpse of happiness with the series I translate.
      I know that my translations aren’t top-notch works, however I do my best with what I know and with what I learn almost every day and I strive to keep getting better at this.

      I’m sorry if the format is a bit confusing, but I got so used to it once I started with Hundred that is very rooted in me.

  20. Buenas tardes Taekan. Quisiera consultar algo. He recomendado tu pág a muchos lectores-fanáticos de está saga, pero la mayoría no habla inglés o prefiere leerlo en español.
    Yo suelo traducirlo (para mí) y se los reenvío al email (de forma totalmente gratuita), pero el blog donde me lo solicitaban se ha vuelto privado.
    Quisiera saber: sería posible que enlazaras también las traducciones en español?

      Yo no tendría ningún inconveniente en compartir tus versiones al español con el público.
      Aunque ambos seríamos totalmente independientes uno del otro como lo somos ahora.

      Mis consultas:
      ¿Tienes las versiones en algún sitio web o carpeta de almacenamiento en línea como MEGA?
      ¿Quieres que comparta tus traducciones solo como archivo o también para que puedan ser leída en esta página web?

      Obviamente las traducciones al español estarán acreditadas a tu nombre/nickname 😀

      Me turno entre Seiken y Rakudai más lo que queda de Hundred.
      Ahora toca Hundred y luego Seiken. Lo que está del volumen 12 al costado son los capítulos y el número de páginas traducidas.

  28. I know you dropped the series and I can respect that decision. I was super happy to even have a chance at continuing to read the series. I wanted to thank you for your translation work. I quite enjoyed reading your work on this novel. I also especially appreciated the little side notes in there regarding idioms or phrases that you would explain underneath the translated text. You do a fantastic job. Thank you.
